The Law of Attraction

I will be commenting on this from time to time, and have added a category just for the topic of the Law of Attraction. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this topic, the law of attraction simply states that what we focus on expands. Or, You get what you think about. This is not a new idea or discovery, it has just been given a new wrapper, with a clever title. It really is not different from positive thinking. The trick is to aim your thoughts at what you want, not what you don’t. This however is the hard part, and why many people claim that the law of attraction doesn’t work, or it doesn’t exist. I think the truth is that it does exist, and it works 100% of the time. We just don’t realize this, nor do we know how to use this to our advantage. In this section I will be breaking down some of the pitfalls, some of the books addressing this, and offering what I think are the best ways to utilize this law. I must admit I don’t like referencing this as a law. I would prefer that it was referred to as our Ability to Attract. Not as catchy, okay, but it sure seems friendlier.

  1. I agree, “Ability to Attract” makes us feel proactive and in control rather than the phraise “Law of Attraction,” which is not as easily internalized on a conscious level.

  2. Hi Shannon,

It’s nice to hear from you, thanks for the comment. I think you make a very good point about us having difficulty internalizing “Law of Attraction”. We are used to thinking of “Laws” as things we aren’t allowed to do without punishment. Probably not the best way to think about attracting good things.

  3. Hello, Richard.

    GREAT post!

It will make a lot of people think and think even better.

You may want to go by http://www.scribd.com and take a look at
a few articles posted on the Law of Attraction and why it
fails for most people. You may search under my name
    “Leo Foster”.

You are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT that the Law of Attraction is only a CLEVER wrapping of an ancient Law. .If one looks at it using its REAL name, the ancient Law of Belief, one will be able to understand it much better.

The Law of Beliefs states that “what you deeply believe at the subconscious level, will materialize in your life”, “it is done unto you as you believe”, “what you believe, you get”.

As you CORRECTLY said, it works 100% of the time. It never fails.
    And it makes NO exceptions.

Even those people who claim it doesn’t work for them are incorrect.
It is working perfectly for them because it is at all times MATCHING their beliefs and values. THAT is the REAL SECRET because what we think about, how we think and what we choose to focus is CAUSED by our deeply held beliefs and values..

The REAL cause of the vibrations is something all the gurus and
‘experts do NOT talk about. It is not that glamorous. Our vibrations
are caused by our BELIEF and VALUES.

Our beliefs and values makes us thing in a very specific way,
makes us predominantly FOCUS on very specific things and NOT others, makes us experience very specific mental STATES, and makes us have very specific attitudes and behaviors. Our subconscious minds automatically sends out vibrations that MATCH exactly all of the above.

And the GIANT MIRROR out there in the Universe, using the Law of Belief, reflects back to use EXACTLY what is needed to match and
reinforce our beliefs and values, the specific way we think, what we
predominantly focus on, the emotional states we predominantly experience, and the attitudes and behaviors we currently have.

If the GIANT MIRROR were to send something that does NOT all of the above, then we would be getting different results without having to make any positive changes at all. And THAT would be a violation of the Law of Belief (aka Law of Attraction).

Again, GREAT post. Your insights are 100% correct..

    Best wishes.

    Leo Foster.

  4. Leo,
